I have created this page to share some of the courses, materials and products that are my favorite. I love trying new products so make sure to check out my blog to see reviews on some of the items listed.
Kelly Rae Roberts – beautiful mixed media artist! Although I am not walking down the path for mixed medial anymore, this was the first course that I took. It has a wealth of information on mixed media, how the business works, and encouragement.
Lilla Rogers: Lilla has competitions for Surface Pattern Design, so I decided to jump in one and get my feet wet.
Global Talent Search: http://www.lillarogers.com/global-talent-search/
After my first try and not getting chosen I decided maybe I need to take a class.
So I jumped into Rachel Taylor’s Ultimate Portfolio Builder – I worked on a bunch of designs but I still felt that I had jumped into the middle of a course, maybe I should start at the beginning? So now I have taken module 1 and I am scheduled to take Module 2 and 3 this summer.
I also joined www.SkillShare.com Bonnie Christian does a fabulous job at teaching. Elizabeth Olwen is also one of my favorites. The fun thing about Skill Share once you join you can take classes in anything!
I hope this information helps you to find your passion. I am very grateful to these instructors for taking a chance of putting their courses out there. I have really enjoyed all of them and look forward to learning more.
The colors are bright and beautiful. I love to sketch out a design, then color them with my marker and then I import into photoshop to use in a design.
They are a bit expensive, but you can use your coupons from hobby lobby and Micheal’s to purchase at a discount. It takes a little longer but it’s the only way I can do it. Beware! if you buy one – you will not be able to stop.
Acrylic Paints – I prefer a looser, thin paint. Liquitex and Master’s Touch are two brands that I use a lot.
Epson Stylus Photo R3000 printer – I use this to print my cards and my prints for shows. The quality is great.
Espson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner: This scanner is really easy to use. It is a flatbed scanner, and has a lid that is able to close even with a book inside.
Canon EOS 40D 10.1 MP Digital SLR Camera – A couple of years ago my husband bought this camera for me. You can’t take a bad picture with this camera. Be sure when you are looking at cameras to research Nikon and Canon, I found the colors are displayed a little different in pictures. I liked the Canon better.
Spark by Advocare : Gives me energy and helps me to focus. I like it so much I became a distribute. If you are interested here is my link https://www.advocare.com/150437103/ .
These are just some of my favorite things, if you have any questions about any of them feel free to email me.
